Cable tray manufacturers introduce the characteristics of galvanized cable tray
Among all the coating methods used to protect cable trays, hot-dip galvanizing is one of the better ones. The galvanized cable tray is a process in which zinc is in liquid state, and after complex physical and chemical reactions, not only a thicker pure zinc layer is plated on the steel, but also a zinc-iron alloy layer is generated. This plating method not only has the corrosion resistance characteristics of electroplating zinc, but also has strong corrosion resistance that cannot be matched by electroplating zinc because of the zinc-iron alloy layer. Therefore, this plating method is particularly suitable for various strong corrosion environments such as strong acid and alkaline mist.
Principle of hot-dip galvanized cable tray: The hot-dip galvanized layer is composed of zinc in high-temperature liquid state in three processes:
1. The iron-based surface is dissolved by zinc liquid to form a zinc-iron alloy phase layer;
2. The zinc ions in the alloy layer further diffuse into the matrix to form a zinc-iron intersoluble layer;
3. The surface of the alloy layer is enveloping the zinc layer.
Hot-dip galvanized cable tray features:
(1) A thick and dense pure zinc layer covers the steel surface, which can prevent the steel substrate from contacting with any corrosive solution and protect the steel substrate from corrosion. In the general atmosphere, a thin and dense zinc oxide layer is formed on the surface of the zinc layer, which is difficult to dissolve in water, so it plays a certain protective role on the steel substrate. If zinc oxide generates insoluble zinc salts with other components in the atmosphere, the anti-corrosion effect will be more ideal.
(2) There is an iron-zinc alloy layer, which is tightly bonded and has unique corrosion resistance in marine salt spray atmosphere and industrial atmosphere;
(3) Because of the strong bond, zinc and iron are mutually soluble and have strong wear resistance;
(4) Because zinc has good ductility, its alloy layer is firmly attached to the steel base, so hot-dip galvanized parts can be cold-punched, rolled, wire-drawn, bent and other various shapes without damaging the coating;
(5) After hot-dip galvanizing of steel structural parts, it is equivalent to a round of annealing treatment, which can effectively improve the mechanical properties of the steel base, eliminate the stress during steel forming and welding, and is conducive to turning of steel structural parts.
(6) The appearance of the parts after hot-dip galvanizing is bright and beautiful.
(7) The pure zinc layer is the most plastic layer of the galvanized layer in hot-dip galvanizing. Its properties are basically close to pure zinc and it has ductility, so it is flexible.
Scope of use of hot-dip galvanized cable tray: The use of hot-dip galvanizing has also expanded accordingly with the development of industry and agriculture. Therefore, hot-dip galvanized products have been widely used in recent years in industries (such as chemical equipment, oil processing, marine exploration, metal structures, power transmission, shipbuilding, etc.), agriculture (such as sprinkler irrigation, greenhouses), construction (such as water and gas transmission, wire casing, scaffolding, houses, etc.), bridges, transportation, etc. Because hot-dip galvanized products have the characteristics of beautiful surface and good corrosion resistance, their application range is becoming more and more extensive.
